Our workshops are designed so your child has fun, while learning with a professional theatre,
but no auditions required!

You may pay in full at registration.
OR
Payment of 1/2 ($95) may be made at registration and second 1/2 due ($95) by June 1st,
(if registering after June 1st, 2nd payment must be made by first day of camp).

Camp Hollywood!     June 8-11                                                                                                                                                                               
 ages 9 & up 
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Ever wonder what it would be like to star in a movie or shoot a commercial?  During this week, all the glamour and glitter will be yours! Participants will learn the basics of acting on camera with one of our Artistic Associates, Brendan Riley, a local award winning filmmaker, as well as behind the camera tips. Then using scripts created by the group (Sci-Fi-, Action Adventure, Comedy, Horror, Fantasy… any genre!), we will shoot our film, complete with costuming, props, special effects, sets, makeup/hair, etc. Some may choose to shoot a commercial, get headshots done, and  more. You choose what  interests you, we make it happen. On the last day, walk the red carpet and enjoy fancy snacks before the  premiere of your film for an invited audience.  Come on and go                     Hollywood.  Lights! Camera! Action!

Camp Broadway!       July 13-16                                                                                                                                                                               
ages 9 & up   
This one is always a huge hit!  N.Y comes to RVA!  With scripts and music from some of Broadway’s most popular shows, (musicals and plays).  Whether you like Wicked, Six: The Musical, Back to the Future,  Hamilton, The Outsiders, Frozen, Aladdin, Phantom of the Opera, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins,  Annie, Hairspray, Beauty & The Beast, The Lion King, Grease, The Music Man, Little Shop of Horrors,   Les Misérables, Cinderella, Beetlejuice, The Addams Family, Mean Girls, or Legally Blonde, (just to name a few),  we have scenes and music from ALL of them and lots more! During this week we will put together a Broadway style revue (based on YOUR choices) complete with scripts, songs, choreography  and costuming and then be ready to perform the last day “On Broadway!” For those who like to sing and for those who don’t,   We have something for everyone. Pop Starz!   July 27-30   
 ages 9 & up
So maybe you like to sing, but not in front of people. Or you like to sing, but don’t exactly know how to  “sell” the song, especially when going to an audition for the school musical or talent show. Or maybe you don’t like to sing, but you love the idea of being onstage and entertaining people in a fun way, without the pressure of singing. For all these scenarios, we have you    covered. It’s Lip Sync time! In this camp workshop you will have the opportunity to pick songs you like, learn how to handle a mic and work the stage, create original movements to go with the songs, come up with costuming, hair, etc. for your group, and develop confidence in your ability to entertain, without the constraint of getting every note right. This one is great for those who really want to be onstage, but haven’t figured out all the little things that make a performance stand out. Plus, who doesn’t love a good Lip Sync battle! And on the last day, wow your audience with a performance sure to get them dancing in their seats as the Pop Starz take to the stage.
